GreenStar Warranty

GreenStar comes with a Six Month Carry-In Warranty. The warranty is applicable for all manufacturing defects for a period of six months from the date of purchase. GreenStar warranty is applicable only in India.

Defective/ faulty product will be repaired free of cost after confirming warranty eligibility subject to terms and conditions stated herein at the Authorised Service Centre.

The GreenStar Warranty applies provided the product is handled properly for its intended use in accordance with the Directions for Use and upon presentation of the original invoice or cash receipt indicating date of receipts and dealer name.

The GreenStar Warranty is limited only to GreenStar and does not include any liability towards any appliance or device used with it.

The Warranty is void if :

The purchase documents have been altered in any way or made illegible.
Attempt has been made to repair or modify the product by unauthorized person/ organization.
Damage is caused by accidents including but not limited to lightning, water, fire, misuse or neglect.

What is GREENSTAR?

The GREENSTAR is a new, innovative device that stops wastage of energy consumed by TV and Set Top boxes, when they are on standby.

Customers can use it 24 hours a day all year round saving energy and reducing electricity expenses. The amount of energy that can be saved depends on the type of TV and Set Top Box used, typically it would around 288 KWH per year.

How Does GREENSTAR Unit Work?

The GREENSTAR is an intelligent device, it can recognize any Remote from its IR signal. Customer can use any existing Remote ( such as his own TV or Set Top Box remote) to program the GreenStar. In a few simple steps GreenStar is programmed and after that it will remember the OFF and ON signals. When the TV is switched off by the customer by its own remote and TV goes to stand by mode, The GreenStar recognizes that TV is wasting power and cuts of power from TV and Set Top Box. The GreenStar also protects TV from over load or short-circuit.

Does the GREENSTAR work in any home?

Yes, customer can simply plug the GREENSTAR in any power outlet and plug his TV and Set Top Box from GreenStar socket and start saving money.

Yes! The GREENSTAR is the new generation device that has been professionally tested and checked for compliance with Safety Standards.

How much the customer is expected to save by using GREENSTAR?

That depends on the type of TV and STB. Typically saving is up to 288 KWH per year.

How long will it take for GREENSTAR to pay for itself?

Generally about 3-6 months although the same factors, mentioned above apply. Some will see the payback in 3 months and some in 6months or more.

Is GREENSTAR easy to install?

GREENSTAR does not require a professional installer. It is very simple! Just follow the few steps mentioned under "Installation and Programming".

Can GREENSTAR be used in other countries with different voltage?

Presently it is designed for India, other versions will be launched soon.

Where is GreenStar manufactured?

How many units would customers require?

One unit is required per TV. One Set Top Box or DVD can be connected to GreenStar in the Auxiliary port in addition to TV. One may take TV and Set Top Box ( or DVD) to be a set of Video equipment, One GreenStar would be required per set.

Why haven't I heard of this product until now?

How does GreenStar protect from Short Circuit?

GreenStar has been designed to switch off power to the TV as soon it draws high currents, generally this happens when there is a short circuit or due to some malfunction in the TV.
